Elizabeth Pincott

Director | Psychologist | Individual & Couples Schema Therapist | Gottman Couples Therapist

Elizabeth is the founder of Breakfree Psychology Services and a Psychologist with expertise in clinical psychology and over 18 years experience treating clinical presentations.

Elizabeth is one of the few psychologists in Townsville and North Queensland who is highly trained in the Gottman method for couples counselling and skilled in treating couples with conflict, unfulfilling relationships, and specific relationship problems using the Gottman Method of Couples Counselling. She is also able to assist with all anxiety and depressive related conditions, personality vulnerabilities and eating disorders.

Elizabeth’s preferred practice is to use Schema Therapy with individuals and Gottman Couples Therapy with couples counselling. Elizabeth is a Level 3 Trained Gottman Couple’s Therapist, an Advanced Trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Advanced Trained ACT Therapist and is highly trained in Schema Therapy for individuals and couples. 

Elizabeth is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA), a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI), and the International Society of Schema Therapists (ISST).

Ryan

Practice Manager

Ryan is our practice manager, responsible for managing the online and in person clinics.

Ryan is able to assist with all things operational and manages our day to day practice to ensure it runs like clock work! Ryan has an extensive background in operations, management, risk and is also a competitive athlete.

Ryan has experienced the challenges of having a family member struggle with mental illness and has in-depth knowledge of how the right supports can assist a person in being able to live a full and fulfilling life. Assisting those with a disability is a passion for Ryan.

Christina Rains

Psychologist

Christina is working out of our clinic in Townsville.

Christina is working in the Townsville office.

Having lived in Ingham she’s loved the opportunity to give back to the local community. She understands what it’s like to live in a small community and how valuable it is to be able to conveniently access mental health services.

Christina has a back ground in nursing, working as a registered nurse prior to training in psychology. She’s passionate about helping children, parents & adults struggling with a complex diagnosis, emotional struggles, behaviour concerns, & parenting struggles.

Her approach is warm & supportive, plus outcome focused. She’s focusses on giving practical support in order to equip people with tools that can help them make real changes in life.

Christina is a registered psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is experienced in CBT, ACT and DBT, and likes working with Families, children, adults and older adults, adolescents.

Sophie Bitters

Psychologist | Behaviour Support Practitioner

Sophie is working online only.

Sophie was raised in Townsville in a defence family before moving to various locations interstate in her early 20’s. She has since moved back to Townsville and loves having the opportunity to give back and support the local community. Sophie loves working across the age range and is passionate about working collaboratively with others to achieve client-centred goals and improve overall wellbeing.

Sophie has knowledge and experience in working with challenging presentations of behaviour since working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, and previously in the adult community-based correction service, Youth Justice, and the youth diversion court team.

Sophie is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA), a Behaviour Support Practitioner, and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI). Experienced in CBT, ACT and DBT and working across the life span.

Shayne pattie

Psychologist

Shayne is working out of our clinic in Townsville.

Shayne has a passion for fitness and martial arts. During his time as a personal trainer, he became interested in how the mind works and his love for psychology began. Shayne has also completed qualifications that investigated other paradigms of how the mind and body work. He now enjoys combining his knowledge of health and fitness with his psychological knowledge for a more comprehensive understanding of physical health and mental health.

He enjoys running workshops on most mental health topics to groups large and small. He has previously facilitated various workshops and group programs including social anxiety, mindfulness pilates and ‘Black Dog’ REACH program and ‘Mental Health First Aid’ programs. 

Shayne is a registered psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He has experience in community and non-government mental health organisations. He has worked in various programs including the ‘headspace’ program, stepped care, Medicare, EAPs, NDIS, Private Practice and other service models. He is experienced in CBT and likes working across the lifespan from age 11 and up.

Brittney Bogotto

Psychologist | Behaviour Support Practitioner

Brittney is working out of our clinic in Townsville.

Brittney is a dedicated Registered Psychologist committed to supporting individuals across all ages, from children and adolescents to adults. Brittney has a strong passion for working within our neurodivergent community, including those with ADHD and Autism, ensuring that family support is integral where needed.

Her therapeutic sessions are characterized by trust, acceptance, and a touch of humour. Brittney integrates evidence-based therapies to meet each client's unique needs, fostering a safe and encouraging environment to accomplish what matters most to them.

Additionally, Brittney holds qualifications as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. She approaches behaviours as meaningful forms of communication, seeking to understand them to collaboratively develop effective strategies with individuals, families, and their support networks.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Brittney finds joy in outdoor activities like camping and swimming, snorkelling, creative pursuits such as drawing and baking, and spending time with her loved ones.
